Caring for an older adult can be a challenging role, but adding the responsibility of simultaneously raising children adds a new level of stress to those caregivers currently falling into what’s known as the “Sandwich Generation.”
The physical, mental and emotional demands of serving both young children and seniors create a number of challenges and obstacles for millions of Americans each day. To help these caregivers find the balance they need to meet the demands of both, Prestige Senior Living Auburn Meadows – an assisted living and memory care facility in Auburn, Washington – is offering a free webinar, held this Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. PST.
Hosted by author Christy Yates, who wrote “Building a Legacy of Love: Thriving in the Sandwich Generation,” the webinar will address both the trials faced by caregivers as well as the strategies that are working for others in this same situation. Yates is a licensed educational psychologist, school psychologist and mental health professional with more than 40 years of experience with various populations.
Founded in 1985, Prestige Senior Living is part of Prestige Care, a complete senior care organization that includes independent living communities, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation and post-acute care, in locations throughout the western United States.
