Question: I’m at a crossroads and need better information to decide whether or not it would be feasible to build something basic, open and small on an existing lot I already own in Arizona.
Answer: I think anytime you have an existing lot and you have the ability to be able to build on it is always a good idea. Like the old saying goes, “There’s only so much land out there.”
Also, everyone knows there’s a shortage of housing, and the demand for housing is always increasing. So, even though you want to build something basic and small, I would say it’s a fantastic time to build. Whether you’re going to rent it out or use it as an owner/user, I think anytime you have an existing lot and have the capabilities to build you should take that opportunity.
