Maura Davis has served in several caregiving roles—first as a certified nurse aide (CNA) in college in a memory care center and then as a medical assistant in a variety of medical settings. The skills she developed would become invaluable 20 years later, when navigating the challenges of caring for her own aging parents. These caregiving roles prompted her to become a certified therapeutic yoga instructor, working to improve health outcomes in older adults and those with mobility impairment or psychological trauma. Maura is also a freelance writer with 15 years of experience covering a broad spectrum of topics for various outlets. As an aspiring author, she hopes she can one day share the trials and triumphs of her own caregiving experiences with others.
